I visited Mudumalai along with my relatives in the summer of 2011. We travelled by our own vehicles. The journey was one of the best parts of the trip. We spotted a peacock, many Elephants, deer and bison. My uncle spotted a monitor lizard cross the road when I was busy staring at the peacock. The unforgettable incident which happened to us was when I and my cousin, Arun was out of the car taking pictures of this elephant we spotted (with its baby) and all of a sudden it charged at us. Luckily both of us were able to get in the car and save ourselves. It was one hell of a ride. We stayed there for 3 nights. On the 4th day we went to Ooty which was only 50 kilometres away from Mudumalai. In Ooty we visited the Botanical Garden, which had the biggest collection of flowers I had ever seen. We left Ooty on the same day for Bangalore. We had a great time together.
